Planting Season Ministries was built around a simple truth:
Every person goes through seasons in life.
Vision
There are seasons of blessing, but there are also seasons of pain, uncertainty, financial difficulty, family problems, disappointment, sickness, loss, fear, and times when people simply do not know what to do next.
In those seasons, people need more than encouragement.
They need hope.
And we believe that real hope is found in Jesus Christ and what He accomplished at the Cross.
That is the heart of Planting Season Ministries. We want to go into churches and communities and remind people that their present season does not have to be the end of their story.
A difficult season may look empty today, but God can still be working underneath the surface. A farmer does not plant a seed and see the harvest the next morning. There is a season between planting and harvest, There are times when it looks like nothing is happening. But the seed is still in the ground, That is the picture behind the name Planting Season Ministries.
We want people to understand that they can continue trusting God even when they cannot yet see what He is doing. Our first area of ministry is preaching and evangelism.
We want to travel to churches, conferences, revivals, men’s meetings, community events, and other opportunities where we can preach the Word of God and point people to Christ.
Our message is not self-help.
It is not simply positive thinking, Our message is: Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
We believe salvation begins at the Cross, and the believer’s daily victory must continue to be rooted in what Christ accomplished there.
The second part of our vision is helping hurting people.
We do not want to simply preach to people on Sunday and ignore what they are facing Monday through Saturday.
As God provides the resources and people, we want to help families and communities through practical outreach.
That may include food, clothing, family resources, children’s programs, youth outreach, community events, prayer, and helping connect people with resources they need.
But even when we are meeting physical needs, we never want to forget the greatest need.
People need Jesus.
The third part of the vision is developing leaders.
A healthy church cannot depend upon one pastor doing everything.
Churches need pastors, assistant pastors, teachers, children’s workers, youth leaders, worship leaders, outreach workers, and faithful men and women who understand how to serve.
That is why one of our long-term goals is to establish the Planting Season Ministries Leadership Training Center.
We want to combine biblical teaching with practical ministry experience.
We do not want to simply tell people how ministry works.
We want to walk beside them while they learn how to do it.
Then comes the church-planting vision.
We want to establish healthy, Bible-believing, Cross-centered churches.
But we do not want to plant one church and say the mission is complete.
Our vision is multiplication.
A healthy church trains an assistant pastor and ministry team.
They serve.
They learn.
They grow.
When they are ready, they are sent into another community to plant a new church.
The original church continues to help them with prayer, leadership, resources, equipment, outreach, and financial support when possible.
Then, when that second church becomes healthy, it begins training another generation.
Then comes the church-planting vision.
We want to establish healthy, Bible-believing, Cross-centered churches.
But we do not want to plant one church and say the mission is complete.

We also want to develop KJV Bible curriculum, discipleship resources, men’s ministry, children’s ministry materials, and leadership training resources that churches can use to strengthen believers and prepare future leaders..
So when someone asks me what Planting Season Ministries is, I would explain it this way:
We are planting seeds of the Gospel, hope, discipleship, leadership, and church planting today so that God can produce a harvest in the generations to come.
We want to:
Reach the hurting.
Preach the Gospel.
Strengthen families.
Train leaders.
Plant churches.
Help those churches plant others.
And through every part of the ministry, we want one thing to remain clear:
Jesus Christ must always be the center.
